Thank you for browsing around JW Illustrations and expressing interest in me and my artwork. My name is Jessica Weible and I've been around the digital art scene for quite a few years, you may have seen my work as: JD Digi Designs or even further back: Jessicas Doodles. While those two labels never quite felt right, JW Illustrations feels like home to me, and I"m proud of the work I offer here.
I feel that art comes to me naturally, as I come from a gifted line of ladies who have always found impressive ways to create with their hands, whether it be painting, crafts or cooking. As my children grow older I'm noticing the gift continues to be passed on. Everyday they continue to suprise me with their creativity and artistic talent.
I have recieved my computer savvy from my father. I have him to thank for placing a PC infront of me at home at a time when most others only had it at school. He continues to be my number one PC Teacher.
I began digitally doodling between 2005 to 2006. I first started with a free version of Paint Shop Pro, thinking I would make my own graphics for my Crochet Business. (thats another story) Crochet took a HUGE second seat once I got the fever for DIGITAL ART. I couldn't put it down. I spent hours upon hours, upon HOURS learning the software, getting the hang of drawing with a mouse. I eventually started Jessicas Doodles and was working off and on for various clients who hosted with craft community icon DJDOODLE. Then I got a taste of Adoble Illustrator and a page turned.
I would like to say that my real talents did not develop until I started graphically designing with my Adobe software. I got better. I knew for certain, for the first time ever that this was what I was meant to do. I enrolled in an online college for a BA in Visual Communications. As I'm writing this, its 2010 and I"ve been a 4.0 student for 3 years. I love going to school for a career that I love. I'm enthusiastic about my future, my website and my possibilites!
For the past 3 years, I have been a clipart creating mad woman, and with each project I finish, I get better at my day job. If you are interested in hiring me for any sort of project, you should know these things:
#1: I have 5 years full-time experience in working with clients, meeting demands and satisfiying expectations.
#2: I am fully functional and have had school instruction in the the latest Adobe software including: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Acrobat and InDesign. My software stays updated to the latest version. I am also proficient in Corel Paint Shop Pro, ArtRage, and AutoDesk Sketchbook.
#3: I am a workaholic. I love to create, and creating is my job. I am known to spend 15 hours or more a day working, though I give myself fun breaks when my kids are home from school and the weekend is upon me. :)
